  • What sand trap has this woman buried her head in for the past 15 years? I'm 31 and I feel it's been ingrained in my head that if I don't have kids by 35, it's not gonna happen. I'm just amazed some people are so oblivious.

  • Although I hate to say it I gotta agree with the officials here. Way too often I've seen parents exploit their kids by "selling something for charity" only to have the parents pocket the money. I had a lemonade stand growing up and was usually on my front lawn at 6 p.m.

  • Re: the LW not wanting to answer the 'What do you do?' question. It's perfectly acceptable to give a vague answer (I'm in sales) and if pressed further in a social setting, say, "I'm really enjoying myself and would rather not talk shop tonight" with a big smile on your face.

  • On mornings when I get up early to go to the gym he has trouble falling back asleep, so we'll probably move towards separate beds.

  • I LOATHE air conditioning. But retail stores are only a small part of the problem. I can't tell you how many 90 degree plus days I've had to pack a sweater because my office building insists on blowing cold air beyond the point of cooling off.

  • Totally agree, Elissa D. Pretty unpatriotic to not include DC on this list. I'll admit the logistical challenges of getting to the Mall are more than most want to deal with, but sitting atop the Hill at Iwo Jima and watching the fireworks across the Potomac is spectacular.

  • At my Catholic high school a teacher was fired for getting pregnant out of wedlock. That's the rules of the games in a parochial setting.
